During the summer of 2012, I decided that my time and money were being wasted on other things and I resolved to devote them to a new endeavor: building a bike from the ground up
Armed with internet Googling ability and most of the tools I would need, I enthusiastically started ordering the parts that would become my Pivot Firebird. I let my DSLR run stop motion while I bludgeoned my way through the build, and after 6 short weeks I had a bicycle.
Most of my delays were related to ordering/shipping issues, but I’d be lying to you if I said it wasn’t a learning experience. Everyone should build their own bike. Once.
